Doug's Priorities -

Short Term Goals

• Oppose the Lauderdale Quay project until all financial, social and environmental risks have been resolved.
• Keep rate increases down to a minimum.
• Build a slip lane from East Derwent Highway to Tasman Highway towards the airport.
• Improve the amenity of the Bellerive Fort and Rosny Hill Lookout.
• Continue improving roads and footpaths.
• Develop practical plans to deal with the threat of global warming.
• Increasing business and employment opportunities in Clarence, including from the Antarctic Air Link.
• Make the Rosny Mall a two-way street .
• Construct a by-pass at Richmond to protect the Bridge and village from heavy traffic.

Long-term Goals

• Extend Flagstaff Gully Road to the East Derwent Highway and provide better access to the Bowen Bridge.
• Build the Rokeby Bypass.
• Build a civic arts and cultural centre for Clarence.
• Lobby for water and sewerage services to be rolled out to un-serviced areas.
